Reflective writing

I like this project because it’s forces you to to not be precious with you’re ideas and just start experimenting with what you initially think of. You don’t have to perfect anything and if one idea doesn’t work out you can just start a different task. I started by writing down the projects I was drawn to the most and putting down everything in a mind map. The first task I started was to reconfigure something. I ripped up an abstract painting I did using the tools we made at the start of the class and repositioned the pieces in a completely different way. I loved making this piece because I had to think about composition and ways of contrasting textures. I liked using different tools to make a variety of marks or one repetitive mark. This could be something I want to develop further.
