I really enjoyed this primer because I got the opportunity to discover Artists I had never heard of. I chose some of my favorite works and made different inspired studies in my sketchbook and tried using different mediums in each one. This is so I can break out of the mindset of sticking to my comfort zone so that in painting I can remember to avoid staying with one style. My black and white watercolor studies were the most successful. The thick brush I was using resulted in expressive marks added was visually more interesting. If I had more time, I would have developed these drawing further, either repeating these marks or exploring different tools to create different marks.
